How to Create a Pocket of Peace in a Busy Day
Peace doesn’t require an empty calendar.
It doesn’t require silence.
Or a perfect morning routine.
It requires a pocket.
A small, intentional pause anywhere in your day.
Because when life feels busy or overwhelming,
what we actually lose is connection.
We move faster.
We brace internally.
We live from the neck up.
And the nervous system never receives the signal that it’s safe to soften.
So here’s a simple 3-minute practice.
🌿 Create a Pocket of Peace
Pause where you are.
Don’t rearrange anything. Just stop.
Take one slow breath in…
and a slightly longer breath out.
Let your exhale soften your shoulders.
Feel your feet on the ground
or the weight of your body being supported.
Now quietly ask:
“Can I allow this moment to be enough?”
Not forever.
Just this moment.
Place a hand on your heart or belly.
And gently say:
“I’m here. I can pause.”
That’s your pocket.
Not escaping your life —
Just returning to yourself within it.
And the more often you create these small pockets,
the less overwhelm accumulates in your system.
This is what we gently expand in our next Healing Moments Meditation —
a longer, supported pocket of peace where your body can settle more deeply.
If you’ve been needing that lately,
you’re warmly welcome.
